Sweet Fern Hydrosol

Description

Facial mists are suited to all skin types and can be incorporated into any skincare ritual. Facial mists, also known as toners, will help balance the pH of your skin before applying a moisturizer; remove excess oil, dirt, and debris; and tighten your pores. They can also be used as an aftershave.

All of our facial mists are pure hydrosols, artisanally distilled in a copper alembic still from plants we sustainably harvest from the forests of Michigans Sunrise Side or grow organically in our garden. We pH balance the hydrosols to the ideal pH for your skin, then add Leucidal (a natural preservative made from Lactobacillus).

We sustainably harvest Sweet Fern (Comptonia peregrina) from the forests of Northeast Michigan and distill it into a fragrant hydrosol to help tone and soothe your skin. Sweet Fern is one of the forgotten treasures of the plant world. Although modern herbalists rarely know this herb, indigenous cultures across this continent have used this herb for centuries for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties and for skin conditions such as acne, rashes, and eczema.

Ingredients: Artisanally distilled Comptonia peregrina (Sweet Fern) hydrosol, Lactobacillus ferment (Leucidal natural preservative), citric acid (to balance pH to ideal level for skin).
