Description
Eastern box turtle is a small land turtle with a high domed shell with a hinge beneath that allows the shell to close completely. It is Michigan’s only truly terrestrial turtle and listed as Special Concern in the state. It typically occurs in forested habitats with sandy soils near a water source, such as a stream, pond, lake, marsh, or swamp, and may forage and nest in unshaded adjacent thickets, old fields, pastures, or vegetated dunes.
Made from recycled cereal boxes, these earrings are truly unique. They are handmade in Jabebo’s studio in Pennsylvania.
