The Story Behind this Seed Group:

The Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash) are what Native American Farmers called a classic form of mixed cropping, practiced for as long as 5,000 years. All 3 species are planted in one hole. The corn makes a support for the beans which add nitrogen to the soil, and the squash creates a ground cover that inhibits weed growth.
